Daniel's Law and State Portal

Daniel’s Law N.J.S.A. 47:1B-1 et seq (P.L. 2021, c. 371) protects the personal information of active or retired judges, prosecutors, law enforcement officers, and their immediate family members. Government agencies, individuals, and businesses are prohibited from publishing the home address and telephone number of individuals who request protection under Daniel’s Law. The Daniel’s Law Portal, operated by the Office of Information Privacy in the NJ Department of Community Affairs, enables any person provided protections under Daniel’s Law to request removal of their residence information from public-facing websites operated by state, county, or local governments in the State of New Jersey.
