Dear Midland Park Residents,
The sidewalk along East Center Street is an ongoing issue. There has been an increase of reports of dog feces in that area. Curbing your dog is the law; The Borough Ordinance for Curbing Your Dog is 5-1.8 and can be found under Quick Links on the borough website. The purpose of this ordinance is to establish requirements for the proper disposal of pet solid waste, so as to protect public health, safety and welfare, and to prescribe penalties for failure to comply.

As the winter approaches we can expect snow to fall. Automobile safety is center stage. Removing snow and ice from your vehicle may seem like drudgery but it’s an important safety measure. And it’s the law. For safety of pedestrians snow and ice must be removed from the sidewalk within 12 hours of daylight after the snowfall. Do not shovel or blow snow on to the roadway as it is in violation of borough ordinance.
