The Municipal Administrator serves as the principal administrative officer representing the Mayor and Council and attends all the meetings of the Council and other boards as required. The Administrator also represents the Borough in its relations with the federal government, state, county and other municipalities and asserts the Borough's interests in contracts, franchises and other business interests. Their responsibilities include keeping the Mayor and Council informed of the financial condition of the Borough and makes recommendations for plans and programs to meet the needs of the Borough.
On a daily basis, the Municipal Administrator is responsible for the day to day supervision and coordination of each of the Borough's departments. The Administrator prescribes standards and rules of the administrative practice and procedure and oversees the purchasing and personnel practices to ensure the efficient management of Borough government. All departments report to the Municipal Administrator.
