Pet Licensing is May 1st - June 15th!

The Borough of Midland Park’s Pet Licensing Period is May 1st to June 15th per Chapter 5 “Animal Control” of the Municipal Code. The Borough will begin renewing pets licenses by mail only as of May 1st. 
 
Proof of current rabies vaccination must be provided. Per NJ State law, the rabies vaccine duration must extend through a minimum of ten months of the licensing year.  Any rabies vaccine that expires before March 1, 2025, will require an updated vaccine prior to issuance of a new pet license.
 
To renew your pet license or register your new pet please follow these instructions:
  1. Complete the application form attached at the bottom of this page. Use a separate form for each pet you are licensing.
  2. Enclose a copy of your pet’s rabies vaccine certificate. Do not send an original, it will not be mailed back.
  3. Include cash or check payable to “Borough of Midland Park”
    1. Spayed/Neutered Dogs and Cats - $12.00
    2. Non-Spayed/Non-Neutered Dogs and Cats - $15.00
  4. Include a self-addressed, stamped envelope for the tag and receipt to be mailed to you. If you do not include a stamped envelope, we will call you to pick up your pet license.
  5. Mail your paperwork and payment, or drop it off in the “Pet Licensing” mailbox outside the door of Borough Hall:

Failure to license your pet(s) by June 15th will result in the assessment of a $10.00 late fee. Failure to renew by June 30th will result in the issuance of a summons. If you won't be able to complete licensing by these deadlines, please make sure to call 551-600-8284 so we can help make sure you avoid a possible summons.
 

A FREE Drive-Thru Rabies Vaccine Clinic will be offered by the Midland Park Board of Health on Monday, May 13th, 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM at the Borough Hall parking lot at 280 Godwin Ave. No pet licensing will take place at the clinic. Details will be posted on the Borough website and emailed to subscribers.
